Miller gets RBC Honor

millerWith the Soo Thunderbirds season and national title run over, the RBC Cup tournament held their annual 2015 awards banquet last night involving one of our members.

Soo Thunderbirds captain Anthony Miller was one of five players from each team participating in the national tournament to receive the RBC Cup Legacy Scholarship. The twenty one year old became the first member of our organization to do so since former T-Bird defenseman Kris Barclay and 2011-2012

“It’s a tremendous honor to be chosen as one of the RBC Cup Legacy Scholarship winners,” said Miller. “Our hockey team strives for the best when it comes to academics along with athletics and all year this team has worked hard when it comes to both of those things.”

These $500 scholarships go out to one overage player from each of the five teams playing in the RBC Cup.
