On the 29th 0f May at approximately 2:30 am City Police observed a vehicle proceeding east on MacDonald Ave. from Pim St. at a high rate of speed.
The officers were able to stop the vehicle at the Lake St. intersection. Further investigation led officers to request the male subject to provide a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device where he registered a fail.
The male was then transported to the City Police station where 2 more breath samples produced readings of over .08. As a result, 23 year old Saleh Asulaiman of MacDonald Ave. was charged with having more than 80 mgs. of alcohol per 100 milliltres of blood. He will be appearing in Provincial Court June 29th.
