The Ontario Finnish Resthome Foundation (OFRF) hosted our Spring Fling Fundraiser on Friday, May 1, 2015. The event was a success with almost 300 tickets sold and raised over $13,000 to help support the Uusi Koti – Our New Home Campaign for Seniors’ Independent Living.
The evening included a pasta dinner, dancing, silent auction and penny raffle prizes as well as musical entertainment by Frankly Speaking. Our community generously donated over 100 prizes from 90 individuals and businesses worth more than $10,000.
The Foundation would like to thank our Corporate Sponsors for their support: Algoma Financial Group, Arthurs Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, MET Energy Systems, Platinum Health Benefits Solutions, Sal-Dan General Contractors Inc., STEM Engineering and Wishart Law Firm along with a special thank you to AK Graphix.
The evening was wonderful and a great time was had by all. The Foundation would also like to thank everyone who came out and supported the Uusi Koti – A New Home Campaign.
