Jim Traveson, past president of The Sault Blues Society (SBS) is very excited to announce that the newly elected president is Johnnie Tibbles.
Since its inception in 2010, the SBS has presented many various musical events as well as two blues festivals featuring multiple award winning artists.
On the agenda within the next few weeks is a B.B. King Tribute night featuring NINE local blues musicians at the Water Tower Pub, Saturday June 27th , 9 pm. The Pub and the Sault Blues Society are sponsoring this event and, as a result, there is no cover charge.
Cecile Doo-Kingue is an exceptional blues artist who will be performing at the Water Tower Pub Thursday July 2nd , 9 pm. The guitarist/singer-songwriter is well known for her amazing stage presence and blends blues, afro-roots and soul to create a unique sound. Cecile was born in New York City and has lived throughout the USA, France and is now calling Montreal home.
Cécile Doo-Kingué’s performance is powerful, sexy and raw and her lyrics and her sound, live or recorded, make for an enthralling and intimate communion. Tickets for this event are only $10.00 general admission and can be purchased at the Water Tower Inn front desk.
