On Saturday June 13th, the Microtel Inn & Suites hosted a Family Carnival Fundraiser in support of the Sault Area Hospital Foundation. The Carnival was held in the parking lot of the hotel, and included games & activities, a Car Wash, BBQ, and many prizes for participants to win. The fundraiser as well as a generous contribution from the owners helped raise a total of $2000 towards the Foundation.
The Microtel Inn & Suites wishes to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our sponsors, contributors, and volunteers for helping make the day a rousing success. We could not have done it without you.
The Carnival was the beginning of our One-Year Anniversary celebrations. During the evening of Tuesday June 16th, the Microtel Inn & Suites held their official Grand Opening Ceremony in the Hospitality Room and lobby of the hotel.
Dignitaries, business partners, staff, and owners alike were invited to share in this occasion, which was spectacularly catered by The Grand Gardens.
The General Manager of the Microtel, Don Marini presented a cheque to the Executive Director of the Sault Area Hospital Foundation, Cheryl Pavoni, with the proceeds from their Family Carnival Fundraiser.
Ward 3 Councilor Judy Hupponen and Ward 2 Councilor Terry Sheehan were also present to represent Mayor Christian Provenzano, who was unfortunately unable to attend. They both gave sincere speeches welcoming the Microtel Inn & Suites into the community of Sault Ste. Marie.
The Microtel Inn & Suites looks forward to many more years serving the community of Sault Ste. Marie.
