In His Honour

Jeff McNeice from Rogers Radio sits on the Mike Case Memorial Stage

A fundraising drive is underway to help offset costs surrounding a memorial plaque for the late Mike Case, one of Sault Ste. Marie’s  most proficient musicians.

Earlier this year, Case lost his battle with cancer. Since then, many friends and other residents sought out a way to memorialize Case and what he brought to the local music scene. A memorial stage was donated by Susan and George Koprash , owners of the Trading Post and Frontier Village on Highway 17 north.  Now to finish it all off , funds are needed to help establish the stage valance and plaque in his honour.

The monument is being made by It’s in the Wood, Pine Island Wood Products and the plaque is being done by Onofrio’s. For those interested, You can make a donation at TD Canada Trust Branch 355 Cambrian Mall Account number 5226704. All remaining funds will be going to Mike’s grandchildren for their education.
