Let The Music Play

The Sault Symphony Orchestra's Musicfest is taking place this Sunday. It is one of a myriad of things happening in and around our District. Photo by Lynne Brown.

As usual, Musicfest 2015 was as successful as every other that was held annually for the last 21 years. A vast array for musical talent performed for the people that attended the function. It was an all day community event featuring performances by talented local dance, jazz, popular, and brass band groups during the afternoon, then an evening performance by the Sault Symphony Orchestra. The evening entertainment was built around the template of Beethoven, Johann Strauss, Broadway, movie melodies, light classical selections as well as other popular selections.

Along with the Sault Symphony Orchestra, there was the 155 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets Pipe Band & Highland Dancers, Elite Dance Force, Lise White Trio, Brian Miller & Karen Beacom, Bob Jenkins Band with Judi Holmes, Steeltown Silver Band, Errant Late-night Gardeners, and of course, Sault Symphony Orchestra. There was food and beverages available as well as items for sale in many booths.

Can’t wait for Musicfest XXIII
