PUC report that all customers have been restored at of 7:34 pm. No cause has been determined.
6:30 PM Report
Sault Ste. Marie PUC say an unplanned power outage is currently under investigation. The outage is affecting a large portion of the Central and Eastern parts of the city. About 800 homes and businesses are without power. Some have been without power for about two and half hours.

Saultonline.com has received reports of a power outage affecting the central part of the city. No explanation has been provided by the Sault Ste. Marie PUC. We have heard that a portion of Trunk road including several businesses and Pino’s to the south market area are without power. Saultonline.com will update when more information becomes available.
They’ve even sent fire services out all over town.
