A cluster of thunderstorms associated with a cold front could develop early this evening in the Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma area. Though no statement has been issued from Environment Canada thus far, US based weather services indicate some of the thunderstorms could reach the severe threshold .
Clouds are expected to thicken during the afternoon as the cold front approaches, heavy rain showers are also expected as the front passes. Rain and thunderstorm are expected to arrive around the dinner time and linger through until after midnight.
If severe weather approaches, Saultonline.com will post an update.
