Family Pet Injured and Firearms Stolen

Break and Enter

(BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION, ON) – On July 18, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter to a residence in the 2000 block of Goulais Mission Road.

The break-in occurred sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on July 18, 2015. Upon entering the residence, suspect(s) injured a family pet.

A locked firearms cabinet containing several non-restricted long guns were stolen from the residence. An air gun was also stolen along with a camouflage hunting backpack containing a set of binoculars and a hatchet.
