A picture perfect summer day Saturday was the best backdrop to bring awareness to visual impairment through the fourth annual Ride For Sight in Sault Ste. Marie.
Ride for Sight is the longest running motorcycle charity fundraiser in Canada; raising funds in support of sight saving research through the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The first ride began in 1979 in Central Ontario.
Hundreds of riders took advantage of the ideal riding weather with a route from Searchmont to Echo Bay and then back through the city up to Batchawana and back.
After a short stop over at Great Lakes Honda, riders took to the north Highway to the Batchawana Voyegeur for a BBQ lunch before heading back to Seachmont for a fun afternoon and evening of events including a fish dinner and live entertainment and games.
Talk about a full day.
SaultOnline.com cameras caught up with the riders as they were leaving for another motorcycle parade through town.
