Incident at Store Leads to Arrest


At 2:50 A.M. City Police were called to a west end convenience store regarding a disturbance in the parking lot. Officers determined that a male in the store was causing a disturbance. The male was arrested for causing a disturbance and subsequent to being arrested was found in possession of a small amount of marihuana. 24 year old Clayton Desousa of Timmins has been charged with causing a disturbance by yelling and possession of a controlled substance. He will be appearing in Court on Aug 24, 2015

At 2:20 A.M. on July 25, 2015 21 year old Jessica Warren of Searchmount was arrested and charged with 6 counts of Breach of Probation; Fail to provide a breath sample into a roadside screening device, assault police, resist police, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of breach of recognizance. The accused was stopped on John St. after being observed driving at a high rate of speed. She refused to provide a breath sample when demanded and subsequent to resisting arrest was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. It was also determined that the accused was on probation and was breaching conditions associated with the probation. Further, the accused was on a recognizance of bail with conditions that she was breaching. She was remanded into custody and will be making an appearing in bail court on July 27, 2015
