Update to Attempt Murder Investigation – One Person in Custody

On July 22nd just after 2 pm Allen Benjamin AGAWA turned himself into the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

The accused was taken into custody without incident.

Police are still looking for Joshua Douglas ROESS.

The public is reminded that the accused should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach.

Earlier Today

On the 18th of July 2015 shortly after 11 pm the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a 911 call reporting a stabbing that had taken place in a residence in the City’s east end.

A 25-year old male was stabbed in the chest. He was transported to hospital.
Officers from Investigation Services were called out to assist with the investigation.

This was not a random act of violence as the victim knew his attackers.

No further details are being released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

As a result of the investigation arrest warrants have been obtained for two males:

1) 25-year old Allen Benjamin AGAWA of no fixed address is wanted for one count of Attempt Murder

2) 21-year old Joshua Douglas ROESS of no fixed address is wanted for one count of Attempt Murder and one count of Breach of Probation.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is advising that these males are to be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach them. If you know their whereabouts contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service immediately at either 911 or 705-949-6300.
