Arrests, Break & Enters and Property Offences from the Weekend

On the 16th of August 2015 just after midnight City Police arrested a 21-year old female and charged her with one count of assault.  It is alleged that the female assaulted her boyfriend by punching him and repeatedly hitting him.  The victim received injuries but did not require medical treatment.  The accused has been charged with one count of assault and appeared in WASH court on Sunday morning.

On the 16th of August 2015 just after 1 am City Police arrested a 24 year old male and charged him with 5 counts of assault and three counts of threatening.  It is alleged that between June of 2014 to the July of 2015 the accused assaulted his now ex-girlfriend by punching and grabbing her on three occasions, assaulted the victim’s children by grabbing them and further threatened to burn the victim’s house down with her and her children in the residence. The accused appeared in WASH court on Sunday morning.

22-year old Tyler Holmberg of Hill Street was arrested and charged on August 16th with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a male known to him by punching him.  The accused will appear in court on September 21st, 2015.


Break and Enters

On the 15th of August a residence on Chapple Street was broken into sometime between August 14th and August 15th.  Nothing appears to have been taken.

On the 15th of August just before 10 pm City Police attended at St. Basils Secondary School on St. Georges Avenue East for a break and enter. Entry was gained by breaking a window however nothing appears to have been taken.

On the 16 August 2015 unknown person/s broke into an apartment in the 100 block of Second Line West. Entry was gained through a window. Stolen was jewelry, cigarettes and a T.V. Police are continuing their investigation.



On the 16th of August City Police a resident on Dacey Road report a theft of a purse from a vehicle overnight.

On the 16th of August a resident on Pardee Avenue reported theft of change from a vehicle overnight.
