
Hockey fans were able to get a glimpse of the Calder Cup Wednesday at the Essar Centre. The cup arrived courtesy for Greyhound, Colin Miller from the Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League.
This past season in Manchester, the 22 year-old defenceman had 19 goals and 33 assists (52 points) in 70 regular season games played before adding 10 points in 19 post-season games.
“I want to give the community the opportunity to enjoy the Calder Cup” Miller said, Locally, Miller captained the Hounds during his 3rd and final season with the Greyhounds (2012-13) where he had a career season notching 20 goals and 35 points, good for 55 points.
He was later named the recipient of the Mickey Renaud Captain’s Trophy by the OHL, presented to an OHL team captain that best exemplifies leadership on and off the ice.
