Passed away at Algoma Residential Hospice (ARCH) on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the age of 82.
Cherished Mom of Debbie Pereira (Tony, her ‘favourite son-in-law’); most adored Grandma Squirrely of Rebecca (Jon Irwin); Stephanie (Randy Meyskens); Jeremy (Amanda Ward) and Carly Pereira. Great Grandma of Carter and Benjamin Meyskens, and Evelyn Pereira. Predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Olga Taylor and by former spouse, George Hodgson. Survived by her only sister, Joan Brason (late Jack) and nephew, John. Mom had fond memories of the ‘Hodgson Clan’….her sisters- and brothers-in-laws: Beverly Zarechny (John); Huck Hodgson (Donna); Joe Hodgson (Lorraine); Donna Christie (late Gary); Chuck Hodgson (Cheryle); and the late Marilyn Salvalaggio (Lino); Fern Della Costanza (Earl); John Hodgson (Georgina); Butch Hodgson (Pat) and the many Hodgson nieces and nephews.
Our gratitude goes out to the wonderful people at ARCH; to a person they treated Mom with dignity and kindness.
Memorial donations directly to this extraordinary facility (ARCH) would be most appreciated by the family.
A private family funeral has taken place. Interment at St. Luke’s Cathedral Columbarium.
Arrangements entrusted to Damignani Burial, Cremation and Transfer Service (Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, 705-450-0969).

She is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
