On the 13 August 2015 at 7:40 AM City Police were called to the Sault Ste Marie Airport regarding an inebriated male attempting to board a flight. On arrival, it was discovered the man was intoxicated and had been informed by staff he would not be allowed on the plane.
Although airport staff were more than cordial by inviting the man back for the 3 PM flight, a police record check showed he was on conditions not to consume alcohol and keep the peace and be of good behavior. A search of the man’s bag also revealed he was stowing away a six pack of beer.
His release conditions indicated he was not to possess alcohol. City police were less forgiving and the man will be appearing in bail court on the 13 August 2015 to answer to the three charges.
