Ryan Matthew William Keller(July 20, 1982 – August 02, 2015)  Suddenly, at home, on Sunday, August 2, 2015.

Loved so deeply by Mother Kelly Keller, father late Perry Keller, brother Dylan Rouleau, Nana Betty Cunningham (late John), Oma Brigitte Keller (Opa late Ernie Keller), grandfather late Desmond Rouleau (Rina Chalut) with whom he shared his birthdate, his loving aunts and uncles, Heidi Tanninen (Veijo) Terry Rouleau (Kazumi), Patrick Rouleau (Stephanie diPietro), Jennifer Cunningham, Iain Cunningham (Martha), Joyce Hunter (Ed), Ilse Hertzog (Richard), special cousins Aaron Tanninen (Brandi), Tamara Wong (Robert), Stephanie Tanninen, Darlene Bourdeau (Craig Cameron) and Carter Cameron, Ken and Brandon Rouleau, plus many relatives in Canada, Germany, The Netherlands and UK.

A private funeral service was celebrated at St. Luke’s Cathedral Chapel on August 6th, 2015, officiated by Archdeacon Hugh Hamilton, assisted by John Cockburn and Betty Cunningham with heart felt eulogies by close friends John Dilijonas and John Maccarone, and music by organist Michael Connell. Ryan will rest beside his Papa John Cunningham at St. Luke’s Columbarium.

Memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

Sincere appreciation for Ryan’s nurses at Revera Home Care (esp. Lindsey Marshall), nursing staff at Sault Area Hospital, Emergency service and Ambulatory Clinic, Dr’s Fratesi, Ben Musa, Fraser, Jenkins and Beduhn for excellent care, Sault Ambulance Service, Sault Police Association who attended on Sunday, Arthur Funeral Home for their compassion and arrangements, especially Peter, Bradley, and Zak.

I hope there is a chess board in Heaven! Some day we may watch him play again. He won many trophies/medals, competing locally and in Toronto in various tournaments.
Ryan spent over 12 happy years at Harvey’s Restaurant, proudly serving customers while enjoying the friendship of staff and customers alike. On night manager duty the evening of the fire at Harvey’s some years ago, he responsibly cleared the building of staff and customers.
One of Ryan’s favourite pieces “Sunday Bloody Sunday” by U2 (released in Germany and the Netherlands on March 11, 1983 by producer Steve Lillywhite) has taken on a new significance. The lyrics – “I can’t believe the news today, Oh I can’t close my eyes and make it go away”.
Ryan loved his Facebook friends and they were all there for him at the service.

Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (492 Wellington St. E., Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 2L9, 705-759-2522).

Rest in peace dear boy, we all love you so – now you are the Angel on our shoulders.
