Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services needs the publics assistance in identifying a female on video involved in a robbery.

On the 29 July 2015 at around 3:30 p.m. a man was returning home to his apartment in the 200 block of Albert Street East. An unknown female came up behind the man and attacked him taking his wallet. The man attempted to stop the female but ultimately left the man with minor injuries. The suspect was described as a white female 5’7 to 5’10, slim build wearing dark pants and a dark hat.

  1. Why did they blur her face?? Are they worries she is underage or something? I’m sure she could be identified if we could see her face! Also what about tattoos? Can’t tell by the vid but it looks like a tattoo on her arm….would be nice to know what it is. ugh. C’mon Crime stoppers!

    • I don’t believe they blurred anything, just low quality surveillance cameras.
      Until businesses smarten up and buy decent cameras, this will go on.

      • Oh it is definitely blurred Sue, have a second look, her hair and other features are very clear and defined, her face is blurred out, lol I think my 8 year old nephew could have done a better job with the digital blurring actually.

        I agree with putting in some effort and showing the public still photos as well as the video. It is not rocket science to grab multiple stills of a video.
