(BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION, ON) – On August 14, 2015 at approximately 8:10 p.m. an officer from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a car travelling on Gran Street. Investigation revealed that the male driver had been consuming alcohol.
As a result of further police investigation, Steven Morris PRUCE, 50 years of age, from Aweres Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following:
- One count of Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle over 80 milligrams of alcohol as per 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
- Two counts of Driving while Under Suspension as per 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie on September 28, 2015.
