The Ontario Universities’ Fair (OUF), happening this Friday through Sunday, marks the official start of the annual recruitment season for universities across Ontario. Algoma University Admissions Advisors will be on hand at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) to discuss the option of choosing Algoma U with prospective students and families from across the province.
To coincide with the official start of the recruitment season, Algoma U recently launched a new portal, www.algomau.ca/futurestudents. This new web portal, created specifically for prospective students, provides a visually appealing medium for students to browse what Algoma U has to offer, including small classroom learning opportunities, one-on-one faculty interactions, excellent entrance scholarships, and more.
Local Grade 11 and 12 students considering university should attend the university information session on Monday, October 5th at Superior Heights Collegiate and Vocational School from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Representatives all 21 Ontario universities will be on hand to answer questions. Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend.
Prospective students and families are also encouraged to attend Algoma University’s Fall Preview event, happening on Tuesday, November 3rd, where participants have the opportunity to meet with the University President, faculty, staff, and sit in on special topic presentations.
“We encourage all students and families to attend the university information sessions and our open house event if possible,” said Director of Student Recruitment Brent Krmpotich. “Our Admissions Advisors are here to answer any questions, and provide students with valuable information about Algoma University that will help you make an informed decision about your post-secondary future. I think you’ll find Algoma U is an excellent option for students.”
