Usually when you mix cops and bikers, it’s not a good thing, but on Saturday, Sault and area Police Services and local bikers joined forces with you guessed it, Santa, to raise funds for the first annual Christmas Smile Drive. Shaun Beaulieu, or “Sir” as he is usually called in public, tells saultonline.com that the money raised will allow selected children to accompany a police officer on a shopping spree for Christmas. There is only one rule: the child must buy something for him/herself before anyone else. In the past children have usually purchased something for the rest of their family.
Quality Inn & Suites was the host site while Gliss provided the breakfast. Even though the weather wasn’t very co-operative, all the riders were very excited to get going from the time they signed up. And Santa, he was the most excited because he got to ride a Harley. Engine start up was 11am for the 100 Km Sylvan Circle Art Tour.
