Goodbye Warmth, Hello Frost!

You may have noticed a little frost today on roof tops and car windows, but expect more Thursday morning as the mercury dips to freezing or slightly below. Environment Canada has issued a Frost Advisory for areas north of the city Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.

An area of high pressure has brought cooler and drier air into northeastern Ontario. Overnight temperatures will drop to between zero and minus 2 degrees Celsius tonight resulting in widespread frost once more.

Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Environment Canada is forecasting a morning temperature of 0c for Thursday morning and much the same for Friday.

Seems the season has changed.

After  record warmth for the month of September, October looks just about normal temperature wise, with daytime highs in the mid teens changing to single digits closer to the end of the month.
