With a week still to go before Trek The Mighty Mac ORV Mackinac Bridge Crossing takes place, the inaugural event has made history. As of yesterday 1299 ORV’s are registered for the crossing with over 2,000 riders and passengers participating in the event.
The St. Ignace Events Committee confirmed the Trek now boasts the largest number of entries for any ORV event in Michigan history:
- 1299 vehicles/drivers
- 736 passengers
Of the vehicles, there are:
- 780 ATVs
- 53 Off-Road Motorcycles
- 466 Side by Sides
Trek the Mighty Mac participants will begin the ride Saturday October 3rd at 10 AM, from the staging area in Mackinaw City. Then, for the first time in the history of the Mackinac Bridge, riders will cross the bridge and gather at the Little Bear Arena in St. Ignace to celebrate the event, with activities throughout the day.
The St. Ignace Events Committee will continue taking registrations for this historical Trek until Monday, September 28th. Event information and registration forms are available on the St. Ignace Visitors Bureau website stignace.com.
