The Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario hosted their annual Fall Bingo for Seniors at the Senior Citizen Drop-In Centre on Bay Street. The event is always free to seniors, and includes 13 games, cash prizes, and a super food spread. 90 senior citizens turned out for the afternoon event on a lovely early fall day.

Serge F. Viau, Governor of Eastern Canada & Caribbean District for 2014-2015, has been a Kiwanian for 21 years. He is just wrapping up a full year as Governor of ECC, and spoke to the Bingo players about the important work of Kiwanis, both locally, and internationally.
20150924_134630Serge has achieved distinguished status as club President, Secretary, Lieutenant Governor and is currently still serving as club Treasurer and Division 2 Treasurer. He has chaired numerous club committees and been honoured with the Harvey Buchan memorial Distinguished Service Award. The Eastern Canada and Caribbean District is one of the largest and most diverse of the 50 districts that comprise the Kiwanis family. Stretching from Ontario to Newfoundland in the north, and extending down through the Caribbean, from the Bahamas to Suriname (northern South America) the ECC District encompasses a diverse cultural landscape.’ (http://www.kiwanisecc.org/)


The Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore will be hosting their annual Fall Trivia Night at The Marconi Club, Thursday, October 22nd,2015. This is a super evening for groups and individuals to come together and work as a team. There are cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed team trivia masters. The popular Hallowe’en Costume contest is back this year, with prizes for costumes as well.


Teams of 6-8 players are encouraged to book a table, however individual players can join a team when a table is short players. There is room for everyone and the cost is $25.00/player.
