Fear The Sault’s Walking Dead


Don’t worry fellow residents, the Zombies spotted in the downtown area have now dispersed, but be aware a few of them could still be lurking about.

The Soo Zombie Walk is an annual food drive festival, bringing together residents of Sault Ste. Marie to collect canned goods for the Soup Kitchen Community Centre and celebrate Halloween. Attendants dressed up in zombie costumes and enjoyed a variety of pre-walk festivities including face painting, games, contests and music before taking to the streets of downtown Sault Ste. Marie for the Zombie Walk.

IMG_5562The 7th Annual Soo Zombie Walk took place on Saturday at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. Pre-walk festivities began at 4:00pm, while the Walk itself began at 6:00pm.

Admission was Adults: $3 and a canned food item
Children (10 and under): a canned food item
The crowd wasn’t as large as usual because of the weather but all in all it was a good time for everyone that took part.
