Knights Take Down Colts

In High School Girls’ Basketball, the St. Mary’s Knights Junior girls took down the visiting Korah Colts by a score of 41 to 38.

It was a very close game through all four quarters. After the first quarter the Colts led by 2 points, but by the end of the half the two point advantage was held by the Knights with the score at the end of the first half 21 for St. Mary’s and 19 for Korah.

The Colts would jump back into the lead by the end of the third quarter by one point but the Knights would rebound in the fourth quarter sinking baskets for 10 points while holding the Colts to only 6 points.

In Senior action, the Korah Colts remained unbeaten with a convincing win over the St. Mary’s Knights 35 to 18.

At the end of the first quarter Korah had doubled St. Mary’s score, but the Knights would start to close the gap slightly by the end of the first half with the Colts leading the Knights 22 to 13 with Carina Hargis from Korah hitting the basket for two 3 pointers.

The Colts would continue to sink baskets in the second half while holding the Knights to only 5 points in the half.

Superior Heights SteelHawks took control over the White Pines Wolverines in both Junior and Senior action.

The SteelHawks Juniors took down the Wolverines by a score of 38 to 16. S. Jones from Superior Heights would count 10 points in the win while Cameron Smith would get 8 for White Pines.

In Senior action Superior Heights downed White Pines 47 to 29. Rebekkah Trudel got 12 points and Kassy Jones would get 10 points for Superior Heights while Rylee Dunbar would get 13 and Darby Sewell would count 10 points for White Pines.
