The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club and ARCH Hospice are excited to announce the two organizations will be teaming up early next month for a clean-up event at the local non-profit.
On Monday, November 2nd, members of the Soo Greyhounds will trade-in their sticks and skates for rakes as they assist ARCH volunteers in beautifying the area for residents and visitors alike.
Lee Rendell, ARCH Hospice Fund Development Coordinator exclaims, “Events such as these show what a community-minded and warm-hearted OHL team Sault Ste. Marie has. Having the Greyhounds visit ARCH is a real opportunity for the players as well – they get to interact with families first hand during the end-of-life journey. These type of experiences make you want to cherish every moment in life.”
The club will assist ARCH volunteers in annual outdoor clean-up at the local charity located at 229 Fourth Line West.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m.
Members of our community are invited to grab a rake from home and join the Hounds and ARCH volunteers in this initiative.
