Don’t miss the first Canadian Cancer Society Fearless Challenge Event at Treetop Adventures! Face your fears by climbing to the highest obstacle, maneuvering through the dark, braving the natural elements, or simply confronting a paintball! Facing your fears will help cancer patients to do the same. A cancer diagnosis is one of the most frightening things that a person could face, but the Algoma Community Canadian Cancer Society funds the Wheels of Hope program, which helps local patients to feel less afraid. Having a compassionate volunteer driver available to comfortably and conveniently transport you to life-saving cancer treatment appointments makes the trip, and the experience, less scary.
Registration for the event is $50, for which participants will receive one hour of treetop adventures and one hour of paintball. One time slot, reserved from 7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. will include two full hours of treetop climbing on the Moonlight Tour. Participants have the option of fundraising for the Fearless Challenge Event. All participants must be 9 years of age or older.
Available time slots for paintball and treetop adventures include 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The Moonlight Tour is available from 7:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. All time periods include orientation and training. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase on-site. 50% of each ticket from this event will return to the local Canadian Cancer Society’s Wheels of Hope transportation program.
