Can you feel it? The cooling air I mean. After a beautiful Thanksgiving Sunday where temperatures hit the low 20’s, a change is a foot right now and by the end of the week, we could see some snow as temperatures dip to -2c.
We can’t complain though, after a record breaking warm September and some very nice days recently in October it’s only a matter of time before we see the swift change of seasons to Winter.
The game changer is seen in this most recent satellite shot Monday afternoon. This well defined “cold low” will bring with it rain showers overnight Monday into Tuesday and as it makes it’s way to the east, cooler air will settle in behind it. Cold enough to change any linger showers from an unstable air mass into snow. Temperatures are expected to gradually cool towards the end of the week and as it does that, those rain showers will change to snow Thursday overnight into Friday.
Not to worry though, any snow that falls will be wet and will melt quickly as daytime temperatures are expected to stay above freezing well into November. In fact the first real threat of snow that will stick will come around the third weekend in November according to long range forecasts.
