As part of this year’s Credit Education Week Canada (CEWC), a national essay contest was held for both adults and graduating students. The Sault had a winner! Jacqueline Kenny is a local high school student at St. Mary’s who wrote about her worst money mistake, using a credit card while on vacation, and what she learned from it. Jacqueline’s essay secured her a $1,000 scholarship courtesy of BMO.
Credit Counselling Sault Ste. Marie and District would like to congratulate Jacqueline on her well written essay. Jacqueline will be presented with an award and read her winning essay at this year’s Credit Education Week event, Monday, November 9th at 11:30 am. This year’s event is in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Library and will be held at the Centennial Branch (Main branch).
We encourage you to attend our free event! A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Come and hear an informative discussion by Matthew Keenan, Credit and Education Counsellor with Credit Counselling Service of Sault Ste. Marie and District and Jacqueline read her essay.
