Lots of Cheer for Christmas Morning


20151119_122553_resizedOnce again, many volunteers are busy with the annual Christmas Cheer program promising to give those families in need a smile on Christmas morning.

This year the Christmas Cheer depot moved to the for Alexander Henry High School. Call it ground zero or organized chaos, the volunteers will prepare over 1,700 baskets for families.

Donations continue to come in such as a huge boost from local high school students and a can food drive, the committee has a long way to go though, items for teenagers are needed such as gift cards , toiletries and movie passes.

Some items are made with care from volunteer Joy Burmaster who is back knitting one of a kind items.

The Christmas Cheer committee visit homes of those in need and determine what each family is in need of. Cut off for applications is December 4th. If you want to add your name to the list you are asked to call  (705) 575-9660

Those making donations can visit the depot until December 9th. Baskets begin to be delivered on December 17th.
