Officers from the Crime Suppression Unit were in the downtown area yesterday afternoon when they observed a male known to them. A check was done on the male and officers learned that there were numerous warrants outstanding for the male.
The male was arrested on the outstanding warrants. When the officers searched the accused they located a flick style knife. At the time the accused was on a prohibition order involving weapons.
The 24- year old male has been charged with one count of fail to appear in court, one count of possession of stolen property, four counts of breach of probation, two counts of theft under $5,000, one count of break and enter, one count of possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous and one count of possession of a weapon contrary to a court order.
The break and enter stems from a break and enter from September 9th, 2015 to the Greyhound Store at the Essar Centre
The accused will be appearing in bail court today.
