StartUP Sault Ste. Marie announced today the launch of an online infographic map of Sault Ste. Marie’s Startup Ecosystem, available at www.startupsault.com/Infographic.
Working with its community partners, StartUP Sault developed the infographic to identify relevant local assets, landmarks, industry, and business resources to showcase Sault Ste. Marie’s current and potential capacity as a hub for new startups and investment.
The infographic of Sault Ste. Marie’s existing ecosystem paints a picture of what our small business sector, industrial base and infrastructure looks like today. It demonstrates that our location, low cost-of-living and natural resources, together with a highly educated workforce, world-class industrial sector and healthy small business community make Sault Ste. Marie a great place to start a business.
Also highlighted are key business support organizations and initiatives in the community.
Both digital and print versions of the infographic are available, including an interactive website, with a downloadable print-quality PDF.
Printed copies of the ecosystem infographic are available through StartUP Sault’s community partners including the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation, Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre, Community Development Corporation of Sault Ste. Marie and Area, Business Development Bank of Canada, Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce and Social Enterprise Evolution.
“We are excited to release this infographic to help support our growing startup community and showcase Sault Ste. Marie as a great place to start a business,” said Nevin Buconjic, StartUP Sault Founder. “The Sault has a lot to offer, and this project is just one more step on our way toward building a thriving and supportive startup community.”
StartUP Sault is grateful to Startup Canada for their financial support of this project and to its community partners and volunteer team for their assistance.
