Train Derailment Still Under Investigation

A train derailment continues to be under investigation in the town of Spanish, Ontario – about 200 km east of Sault Ste. Marie. Investigators are trying to determine what caused a number of rail cars to derail.

On Monday morning about 12 Huron Central Railway cars left the track. No injuries were reported and no spills. The contents of the cars were not disclosed.

The rail line remains closed until investigation is complete and the clean up of the train is finished.

  1. The government handed them $30 million to replace aging infrastructure ie: rails, ties, etc. so things like this wouldn’t happen.
It will be interesting to see what the investigators claim to be the cause of this wreck.
The cause better not be a dated rail or rotten ties, if so the sh*t should hit the fan!
