BLOYE, Douglas Gordon

December 17, 1952 – December 24, 2015

Doug passed away at home, after a courageous fight, with his wife, son and travel companions, Bear and Blue, by his side at the age of 63 years.

Dearly cherished, loving and devoted soul mate, best friend and husband of Jacqueline (Dauphin) for 19 years (rest in peace my beloved). Proud father of Douglas Jr and step-father of Dylan McMillan and grandfather of Myles McMillan. Son of the late Mary Bloye and late Gordon Bloye. Son-in-law of the late Frank and Yolande Dauphin. Dearly loved brother of Jean Burns, late Jim, of Bruce Mines and Ken, wife Elvira, of Sault Ste. Marie, and brother-in-law of Dave Dauphin, wife Darlene, Garry Dauphin, late Lily, of Sault Ste. Marie, and Ron Dauphin, of Texas. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A special Thank You to Barbie (SAH), for her care, concern, and ALL her help, and that little extra push and the confidence in Jackie to bring Doug home where he spent his last days (after 4 long months in hospital) surrounded by everything he loved in life.

At Doug’s request there will be no funeral service, a summer barbecue party will be held to toast his journey to the afterlife.

Memorial donations to Royal Canadian Legion “Building Fund”, Br. 211, Bruce Mines, or charity of your choice would be appreciated by Doug and the family.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon, Ontario.
