The Chair and Vice-Chair of the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB) retained their positions following elections at its monthly meeting held last evening at the Catholic Education Centre in Sault Ste. Marie.
Leslie Cassidy-Amadio will be serving her second term as Chair and John Caupto his second straight term as Vice-Chair.
Cassidy-Amadio, who was acclaimed to the Chair position, said she was humbled that her peers continue to have faith in her leadership.
“It’s an honour to serve in this position with the Board. It’s a commitment I take seriously and I look forward to the next year as I serve all of the Catholic communities that this Board represents.”
Caputo was also grateful to be supported by the trustees.
“I thank everyone for showing their support. There have been very exciting times for this Board over the past year, particularly with the opening of the new St. Mary’s College. There are challenges ahead and I appreciate the confidence shown in me by my colleagues as we look to the future,” said Caputo.
Cassidy-Amadio will give her inaugural address as Chair at the Board’s next meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
