Chocolate Express is a brand new winter event that will surely have all skiers and snowshoers, novice or skilled, who also happen to enjoy chocolate, registering to participate. (And let’s face it, who doesn’t love chocolate?)
SaultOnline caught up with Lee Rendell, Manager of Fund Development, ARCH Hospice, who shared details about what participants can look forward to on January 17, 2015 . “This brand new event has been created that offers opportunities, not only to support our organization and the wonderful comfort and care that we provide, but also enjoy a great afternoon of skiing and snowshoeing with the added benefits of chocolate.” So far, so good.
Chocolate Express is being held out at Stokely Creek Lodge. “Every kilometer or so (of the trails) will feature a different chocolate station.” said Lee Rendell.
Outdoor enthusiasts at all levels of learning are invited and encouraged to sign up for trails that are marked, 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 kilometers for skiers, as well as a 2.5 snowshoeing trail . “Registration kicks off at 1 pm at the Day Skiers Cabin.” shared Lee.
Registration for the event is by purchasing a $25.00 pass. A person can also fundraise for the pass, which is then a $50.00 minimum.
ARCH Hospice has a great new website, which includes an online fundraising platform, and access to downloading forms for registration. Follow this link : http://www.archhospice.ca/
You will find a detailed Events Page, which will lead you to everything you need to know about Chocolate Express.
Challenge yourself and a hundred of your closest friends and family to some fresh air, skiing or snowshoeing, and for chocolate surprises along the trails. You’ll find it all at Stokely Creek Lodge, on January 17th, 2016.
