John entered into rest on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Jean Manderson for 61 years. Loving father of Sheena Anne McDowell (David) and the late Ian Douglas (Tammy).
Proud grandpa to Heather, Craig and Kirstie McDowell and Tara and Traci Constable. Son of the late Annie and Hugh Constable. Brother of Hugh (Jessie) and predeceased by Helen (Donald), Betty (Willie) and Anna (Jim, late Kenny). Brother-in-law of the late Ian McCrindle (Sandra). Remembered by his many nieces and nephews. John emigrated from Paisley Scotland to Sault Ste. Marie in January 1953.
He was a proud Past Master of Hatherley Lodge #625 and a Past Patron of Doric #86 O.E.S. John loved music and was a member of the 49th Pipe Band. His four-legged friends held a special place in his heart. Special thanks to the staff at Extendicare Maple View for their support.
