Driver Charged

On December 12, 2015 at 1:06 a.m., City Police and O.P.P were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on McNabb Street. An eastbound vehicle was checked and the driver exhibited signs of alcohol consumption.

A roadside breath test was carried out and the driver failed. The driver was arrested and a subsequent breathalyzer test provided samples over the legal limit. Kelsey Lee, 28 years of Maplewood Drive, Echo Bay, ON was charged with driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in her blood.

She will be appearing in court on January 18, 2016.

  1. Some people think they are invincible or think it won’t happen to me.
The implications of driving impaired are not nice, not at all.
The smell of one beer on your breath will get you a breathalyzer whether you like it or not and could just be the beginning of a nightmare that you do not want anything to do with. A criminal record, possibly charges other than the dui, God forbid you kill someone, a 500% insurance increase, humiliation, ignition interlock device, classes, etc, etc.
If you are going to drink anything, don’t drive it’s not worth it.
