There is a potential for a brief period of freezing rain Sunday morning for Sault Ste. Marie, Manitoulin Island and areas close to the North Channel.
Current indications suggest that freezing rain will rapidly change to plain rain as temperatures rise above the freezing mark.
Although the freezing rain is not expected to last long, untreated roads and surfaces may become icy.
Environment Canada is closely monitoring the situation and will issue freezing rain warnings if necessary as the event draws closer.
