On Wednesday December 2nd, the Huron-Superior Elementary and Secondary Ontario English Catholic Teachers voted on their Tentative Agreement and they overwhelmingly supported the new local contract.
“We are very pleased with the results of the ratification vote. Our teachers have been without a contract since September 2014. Now that a Local Agreement has been ratified, the terms of the Central Agreement reached with the province will also come into play. ” said Darrell Czop, OECTA Unit President.
On Friday December 4th, Huron Superior OECTA will be at the table with the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board to begin negotiations for the Occasional Teacher Contract.
