For the 3rd straight year a very special event happened at the Station Mall Sunday morning when not a creature was stirring.
It’s under that peace and quiet that “Sensitive Santa” occurs. The mall is closed to all except for the little ones with autism. For 65 children it was their time to meet with Santa with no disturbances and distractions such as crowds, music and the regular hustle and bustle of the season that can be stressful for children with Autism.
Sensitive Santa is made possible by the Algoma Autism Foundation for families touched by ASD (autism spectrum disorder). The event is sponsored by the Station mall and Northwood Funeral Home, Tim Hortons, Olar Photography and Stackable.
