T-Birds Trade Warren

The Soo Thunderbirds have announced on Tuesday they have dealt 1995 birth year goaltender Nathan Warren to the MJHL’s Winker Flyers in exchange for player development fee.

“Today is a tough day for us losing a quality person and player in Nathan,” said T-Birds general manager Jamie Henderson. “We felt he deserved the opportunity to be a # 1 goalie somewhere and Winkler has a strong team this year and will provide Nathan with the opportunity to do so.”

The Prince George, British Columbia native led all NOJHL goalies in wins (14), shutouts (3), best goals against average (1.67) and the best save percentage (.931) through 15 games this season.

“We wish Nathan well in his new home,” concluded Henderson.
