The month of December was full of Hockey for the Jr. Hounds. The Hounds Started off a month full of NIHL action at home.
The first weekend seen the Hounds winning two games over Iron Mountain, then dropping the next two to St. Ignace. The second weekend of the month brought another split as the Hounds dropped two to Calumet while beating Houghton twice. Finally this past weekend seen the TPS Hounds dropped two games to Cheboygan, one of them a loss with the final goal being scored with 30 seconds left in the game.
The boys now have one game left before New Year’s (a Dec 27th game vs. Soo Michigan) and head into the Christmas break, 5th place in the Northern International Hockey League and only one point out of 4th.
Recently the Total Precision Surveying Soo Jr. Greyhounds Pee Wee AA hockey team held their Christmas Party at the brand new Hockey Up North Skill Zone. The boys arrived at The Tech building for some fun with family and friends but first took some time to remember those less fortunate.
Having been very fortunate themselves; receiving a lot of support from the people and businesses of the Sault and Algoma, the boys decided to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen. The boys would like to thank Eric Verbonac for letting them use the Hockey Up North Skill Zone before it is officially opened.
The entire Total Precision Surveying Jr. Hounds family would like to thank Soo Minor Hockey and all of our sponsors, family and friends for their awesome support of the team this season. The boys continue to grow and develop as hockey players getting better with each ice time, but most importantly they are growing and developing into fine young men.
We would like wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy and Safe New Year.
