City offers advance voting opportunities

Voting Day for the Ward 2 by-election is Monday, February 1, 2016. The City of Sault Ste. Marie will hold the first of two Advance Vote days on Saturday, January 16th between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Civic Centre. Ward 2 voters should have received your ‘You Vote at Card’ in the mail this week.

Another Advance Vote day will be held at the Civic Centre on Wednesday, January 20th between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Voters requiring extra assistance are encouraged to take advantage of the enhanced accessibility provided on Advance Vote Days. The City has partnered with the Canadian Hearing Society to provide sign language interpreter services on the Saturday, January 16th Advance Vote. Tools to assist individuals with visual impairments will be available at every voting location.

Electors must provide identification when they vote. If an elector is on the Voters List and presents identification showing their name, qualifying address as shown on the Voters List and signature, the elector will be provided with a ballot and allowed to vote. The You Vote at Card is not acceptable identification.
