Wawa Detachment of the OPP are advising that Hwy. 17 is now open again after being closed due to a collision earlier.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a collision occurred between a southbound tractor trailer and a northbound automobile which resulted in four occupants being transported to the Lady Dunn Hospital in Wawa with undetermined injuries.

(WAWA, ON) – The Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently at the scene of a collision involving tractor trailer and motor vehicle located on Highway 17 approximately 30 km East of White River Ontario.
OPP along with Emergency Services from the White River, Dubreuilville and Wawa area are currently assisting at the scene.
Highway 17 between Wawa and White River will remain closed until further notice with no information on available detours available at this time.
The OPP will advise once the Highway is re-opened to traffic in both directions.
