Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, January 23, 2016. June Smyth in her 91st year.
Survived by her loving husband Anthony Smyth. Lovingly remembered by her children Francine Brewer (Martin) of England and Dale (Lucy Quintana). She is predeceased by her daughter Rona Laycock (William). Gramma of Ashley Palmer, Russell Palmer, Fiona Graham (Luke) of England, Jade and Wesley Laycock, of Barrie, Ontario. Great Gramma to Wylder Palmer of England. She was predeceased by all her siblings. June was aunt and friend to many. She will also be missed by her cats Harvard, Fluffy and Minu.
Family and friends may call at O’Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (corner of Cathcart and St. James St.) Friday, January 29, 2016 from 11:30am until time of memorial service in the chapel at 12:00pm. Interment in New Greenwood Cemetery followed by a luncheon will also be taking place.
The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, staff and volunteers of the Sault Area Hospital Unit 3C, especially Tom, for all the care given to June.
Memorial donations in June’s memory can be made to The Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
