Where would you allocate your property taxes?

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is reaching out to taxpayers for feedback regarding what services they would like to see maintained, enhanced, or reduced as part of their property taxes. An online budget tool has been created to enable residents to provide input that adjusts budget amounts allocated for municipal services.

Upon entering basic property tax information, the tool allows you to increase or decrease the amount of money you believe should be committed to specific services.

Note: This tool is meant to show the areas of the budget that are of most value to you. The amount and distribution of your actual property taxes will not change as a result of using this tool.

To use the online budget tool, visit saultstemarie.ca/budgetinput. Feedback on the upcoming budget can also be emailed to [email protected] or submitted to the City of Sault Ste. Marie Finance Department – Level 4, 99 Foster Drive.

The deadline to submit input using the budget tool is February 12.
