Algoma’s official kickoff to Summer a tribute to Mike Case

A beloved figure in the Northern Ontario musical scene, may be gone, but is surely not forgotten, as event organizers Xcite Events, gets set to kickoff the summer in the Algoma Region with the Mike Case Country Music Festival.

This event is set for June 25-June 26, 2016 from 1pm-2am, at the Laird Fairgrounds in Laird, Ontario. This all-ages event will feature a lively group of country musical acts and entertainment, food vendors, a beer tent and much more! Event organizers are also welcoming everyone to camp out on the grounds for free, and sleep under the stars with friends and family after the event has concluded.

As Alan Jackson said, “a country song, is a song about life,” and this event is not only about celebrating the arrival of summer, but to remember the life of James ‘Mike’ Case.

eventsMike Case sadly passed away on April 12, 2015, after fighting a brave battle against colon cancer. His enthusiasm for life positively impacted all of those around him, while his musical talent entertained countless of people, earning him many accolades and awards. The role he had in the lives of many still reverberates to this day across the region.

Proceeds from this event will be donating to strengthening the fight to find a cure for cancer as well as to the North Shore Agricultural Society.

A limited number of early bird tickets are currently on sale starting at $12.00 (plus applicable fees) exclusively at Visit our website or the Facebook event page to get all the most up to date announcements and information regarding this exciting event!
